I am deeply humiliated at how long it's been since I posted anything on LiveJournal. But I wanted to thank erexen for her kind birthday wishes, and while I was here, I thought I might drop a line to anyone who remembers me.
Life has been good this year. TheHubs™ continues to thrive after his stroke in February 2018, and except for the occasional trip up, his speech is pretty much normal now. He frets more about his health, which is to say, he frets some, since he never gave it a thought before, but he and I have continued to live healthily - no more fatty foods, no booze, walking a mile every day. I am in better shape than I've been since the 80's. I still have a lot of weight to lose, but my blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol numbers make my doctor happy, and that makes me happy.
I finally finished Book 2 of my Her Minder series, and it's on sale. My Audible reader is currently working on the audio book format, and I am truly happy with it.
My Friends at themasque have been hugely supportive of all my work, and I cannot thank them enough. We are planning a book launch/signing date in October.
Our good friends F and B wanted to go to the UK and Ireland this year, and because they knew we probably would struggle financially to go with them, they are graciously paying our flights over. They have been the most incredible friends, and not just for that. We are scrimping and saving every penny I find on the street to have money for everything else, but I think we'll be okay. We're having a huge yard sale next week, and I'm murdering my darlings for this chance of a lifetime. It will be wonderful to see England again. I miss it.
Like many of you, I'm frustrated with what is happening in our country, but I don't want LJ to be the place where I bitch about it. Facebook is the toxic swamp where I vent my spleen nowadays, but I do feel the need to get back to journaling and hiding away from it. I have worked hard on my own website, which you can visit HERE. I'm pretty proud of it.
Hugs to all who needs 'em, and it's great to see you here. I hope all is well. Stay fresh, cheese bags!
