Teddy Radiator

I am constantly bowled over by the generosity of my talented friends here on LJ. I have been gifted with incredible art, and goodies, and treasures beyond my wildest dreams. Take today - I received a wonderful present from snapebraille4tu. I had been admiring her evocative photography art called Ghost Bride, and this arrived in the post today!

It's on premium quality photograph paper, and sadly, my photography skills are crap, and you can see reflexions of everything in the room, so this doesn't do the photo justice at all. In the flesh, it is just perfect in this frame. I cannot wait to mount it on the wall. Thank you, snapebraille4tu, for being such a thoughtful and caring friend.

Today has been a lovely day. TheHubs™ and I went shopping, and had dinner at our favourite restaurant, and then I found these waiting for me in the post when I got home!



These are genuine originals by the incredibly talented akatnamedeaster, and my atrocious photography skills do not do these originals justice. Two of these are her OTP Severus/Sirius - one is the gorgeous No Words, which is a stunning study in Dom/sub, ornamentation, colour and overall amazingness. The second Severus/Sirius is a poignant piece of them as elder statesmen, two grizzled vets living in gentle twilight. It is incredibly moving, especially up close.

The second two are Severus/Hermiones, from prompts I submitted. The first shows a very contrite Hermione (the reddened bum! OMG) being first disciplined then comforted by her Dom. You can imagine I am in happy heaven with this one. The second is a hilarious prompt about poor Hysterical Severus trying to convince the rather blase Hermione that airplane travel is not without its own problems.

Thank you, Kat, for sharing your immense talent, and your beautiful art with me. I know how proud you were of No Words, especially, and I feel so honoured you would gift me with not only this one, but three others that are just priceless to me. These will have pride of place in the SteamLib, and I can't wait to spend some happy time matting and framing these wonderful works of art. I love you to bits!!

Came across this drawing in perusing dA (yes, I stalk dA still) and came across this stunning piece of artwork. Irritating dA watermark on it, which is distracting, and it's a Severus/Lily, which is soooo not my favourite, but the look on the boy's face made my heart ache and awoke the latent, protective cougar in me.

It's called Prayer For A Kiss, by lilyhbp, and it's just stunning. Enjoy our favourite Potions master before; when there were still so many possibilities...

Wow. I'm officially SQUEEEEEEE-ing so high that only dogs can hear me now. In the last 24-hours, I have had four (count 'em, 4!!!) of LJ's finest artists create art for me - ME!!!
