How Much Fun Was That?

The Hubs and I went to the recording studio today to polish up some recording. A song of mine was selected to be the title track of the EP we are putting together for our Songwriter's Guild, so I figured I'd better go and record it. It turned out ten times better than I'd hoped. I got little sleep last night, and I was just exhausted and afraid my voice would show it, but it went really well. We also polished up bits of the stuff we'd already recorded, including the song As Morning Falls, which I based a fanfic on. The songwriter wants to read the fic, although he knows nothing about HP, and I don't know that he would appreciate the story, but the song is so beautiful, and I got to do backing vox on it, so I'm very proud.

The song I recorded tonight is called Inspire, and it is a little conversation between myself and my Muse. It was written in about five minutes after a conversation with Mimimanderly, and I'm about as proud of it as I am anything I've ever done.

I finished my first drawing and I'm pretty happy with it. It took me ages to get a face drawn correctly. I have no training and very little patience and no idea of spacial awareness, so the fact that I can actually draw something that remotely looks like people can only be attributed to the Muse.

I'm totally shattered and tomorrow is St Paddy's day, so I have to get into the shop early and deck the halls with boughs of Shamrocks. Goodnight, my dear friends.

Thank you - apologies for not replying...LJ's problems are apparently affecting me, and I haven't received notifications...I thought no one wanted to talk to me...

I'm very happy with it...we're hopefully putting guitar on in Sunday and it will be complete. I hope to include it with your birthday package, which, like Sempra's will be fashionably late!

LOL. I think every woman has that issue. And it seems with guys, all they have to do is think that they want to lose weight, and *poof!* there goes 10 lbs.
