Y'all know how this works better than me. If you want me to give you the questions, just comment with the words "Come at me, Bro!" and I will give you five. Mine are courtesy of [info]dickgloucester :

1. What makes you write?
I have always loved to read, and since I have a hugely active imagination, it seemed to be the next best thing. Now, I write because I just love doing it - I love taking the whispered words of my Muse and translating them to paper. I am determined to get my stuff published properly, not just through lulu, one day. This is what I would do for a living, if I could indeed make a living from it. It's like a vocation; I have to do it every day.

2. Tigers or lions? And why?
What a cool question - and a hard one! While I love tigers for their sheer beauty, the lioness is just too cool. She works hard for the money, takes no shit off the male, and is so beautiful and tough. She provides for her babies, keeps her man in line, and seems to get along pretty good with the rest of the harem while the dude is off showing off his bits to the other lions and trying to get more girls.

3. Do you think space exploration is a waste of money? Why/why not?
I think it is, now. Not that I think it is a waste of money, per se, I think it takes money away from things that are needed here on earth. It's rather hard to justify trying to see what's 'out there' when we aren't looking too carefully at what's 'down here'.

4. What is your favourite piece of jewellery?
It's a lovely piece of quartz crystal with seven small cabochons representing the chakras, encased in silver and running down its length. I got it from France, and I always feel good when I wear it. I rarely wear jewelry, but I do love it, especially necklaces and rings. I love semi-precious stones, like turquoise and malachite.

5. What creepy-crawly are you most scared of?

Spiders, without a doubt. Ron and I are copacetic on that one! Here in the South, we have quite a problem with black widows getting in the house, and I am mortally afraid of them and brown recluse spiders. Even our proper British cats leave them alone!

Prompt-claiming is open at [livejournal.com profile] samhain_smut, Teddy! Have at it.

(Re space exploration: many of the things we learn in the space program have all sorts of benefits for us here on earth, really! It's not a zero-sum game. [not meaning to be offensive or butt in, but I come from a family with three generations of NASA employees. It's in our blood /g/.])

No offense taken at all, Kelly dear. One of the things I love about little quiz-y thinks like this is it gives folks the opportunity to enlighten. I have strong opinions, but sometimes my opinions aren't exactly steeped in fact. Good point, though; Nasa has given us amazing insight into what's happening right here.

3. Do you feel comfortable in your own skin?
4. What truly, truly frightens you?

3. Do you believe in method acting?
4. If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, fictional or real, who would they be and why?

The day a spider bursts into a cloud of light instead of embedding his DNA into my carpet, I'll stop killing black widows - they scare the bejezuz out of me!

I know - who writes these things? But you must give me 5 in return:

1. When was the last time you were truly frightened?
2. What has made the biggest impact on your life?
3. Horse or bear, and why? (Which would you rather be, I mean? Sorry)
4. What type of music give you the most insight into your innermost self?
5. Do you visualise auras? If so, what is yours?

Okay - try these:

1. Do you believe that religion has relevance in the world today?
2. You can have any meal - what would it be from starter to dessert?
3. What makes you instantly happy?
4. Where is the most peaceful location on earth?
5. If you were told you had to delete every song on your ipad/mp3 player/phone/etc except one, which one would you keep?

I'll just answer you here:

1. Yes, I do believe that religion has a relevance today. Why? It brings many people together, and they fight for the same beliefs and such. But what happens 'in the name of God' is stupid. And frankly, I believe if there would be absolutely no religion, there would be chaos in the world. I'm not thinking only of the Christian religion, but all of them.

2. I'm a woman of simple tastes (and 3 courses). For starters, I'd have a noodle soup, for main course I'd have to say chicken breasts, rice and beet root, and for dessert something with chocolate and sour cherries. As I said, I have a simple taste.

3. Seeing my family in Croatia. Or reading a good book/fanfiction =) Also, chocolate sometimes helps (I'm a chocoholic)

4. The most peaceful location on earth for me is where my father was born in Croatia. It's a village with about 500 people, and almost everybody know each other. The village has only 2 shops, a church, one pub, school and the graveyard. I go there to visit my grandmother sometimes just to... rest. Rest from the everyday life and stress.

5. Tough question. It would depend on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I like something silly, sometimes something patriotic, and sometimes just something popular. But I always have my fave singer from Croatia on my mp3, Miroslav Skoro. His song Ne vjeruje srce pameti (My heart doesn't trust my mind is the exact translation) is a tearjerker. He sings of himself and the love he left so readily. It's not his bio song, but it is one of his best songs. So, that would be the song I'd keep =)

Thank you, Blue, for this lovely insight into your life. I feel I truly know you a lot more now! The village your Dad grew up in sounds lovely - a haven.

I love, love, love how you always call the way DMuse talks to you as "the whispered words of my Muse". I just think it is so beautiful. It is such a simple statement, but seems like it is the embodiment of a Muse at the same time. There are times that it feels like CMuse is screaming at me with an idea, then other times that it is just a whisper. And most times it is the whisper that are the ideas that I absolutely love.

Come at me, bro!

LOL Sometimes I can sense a little frustration on his part - "Will you just chill out and write it down?" I've been receiving rather patchy reception this week (it's just me not being able to get the signal as well as possible, and with the exchange fic, I need all the help I can get, so my beta gives me a perfect outline of how I can fix the problem - I'm convinced he spoke to her, since he wasn't getting through to me!

Right - five easy pieces:

1. When you dream, can you 'read' in your dreams, and what was the last dream you remember vividly?
2. Do you think organised religion has relevance in today's world?
3. Is there one artistic medium you would like to attempt that you've never tried?
4. Why SS/HG?
5. If you had the chance to actually spreak with Severus, what would you talk about, and do you think you would actually like him?
