Thanks, babe. The lovely thing about drabbles is I can be as angsty and hopeless as I like. I have gradually come to the conclusion that short fic is for UHEA, long fic is for HEA!

I'm sorry I didn't comment earlier (since I read this yesterday), it's just.. well.. I've now learned NEVER read something Teddy labels "angst" while suffering from writer drop. Cue me crying as if my own heart would break.

Once again, you've torn out my heartstrings and gutted me. Your writing is so powerful. You can feel the tension and dark tenderness from Severus and Hermione's relationship with that underlying tone of danger due to teacher/student as this would be back before the Battle of Hogwarts (or so I assumed. I'm writing this before reading any other comments). Then the absolute devastation that haunts Hermione for the rest of her life.

{{{{HUGS}}} I'm sorry I got you all worked up. I have to say, there is a fic called That Language He Has Never Spoken by madqueenmab which leaves me almost needing sedation. It is so heartwrenching it literally will leave me feeling almost ill with grief.

And being the masochist I am, I read it about once a month, just to remind me what great writing can do.

The thing about that fic is that it is amazingly erotic, but in a way that makes you ache for him even as they're making love. He is so desperate and resigned and in so much pain, and yet it's simply beautiful, but yeah, every time I read it I hurt right up under my bra!
