...that I'm really having fun with my exchange fic? Have I just jinxed it? Do I need to perform some sort of ritual to counterbalance it, like chanting naked in a graveyard at 1am wearing purple feathers? Does it matter where I put the feathers? Am I a babbling airhead? Is that a bad thing?

Just a bit of advice...
If you do go with the peacock feathers in your ritual, you might want to read Shiv's post first. Apparently they are scratchy little buggers. Wouldn't want you hurting anything important!
