I Have The Best Friends

I've been the most incommunicado lately that I've ever been. Between a mind-bending work schedule, the storm (a couple of power-free days, but we were lucky), book editing and general blah, I've not really had all that much to report. Work is kicking my ass and while I appreciate the paycheck, I feel chained to my pc where all I do is work prep and paperwork. At the end of the day, I'm too tired to think, much less write. I barely have the energy to read.

But I had to show off my birthday gift which arrived today! The ever-awesome mywitch sent me my very own Harry Potter Hogwarts Loot Crate! It's chock full of magical goodies, including a gorgeous Slytherin scarf, Salazar Slytherin's pendant, a wand pen (so lovely and balanced!), some Honedukes 'candies' and a desk set complete with notepad, post-its and paperclips.

Thank you, sweetie, for such a thoughtful gift. It truly made my day!
