I have survived this hideous work week. There were moments when I wasn't sure I would.

A good friend has read Her Minder from the beginning cold and likes it. I am very grateful.

We had two pieces of good news delivered yesterday. I'm all for that.

Two of these babies arrived yesterday and I put them together without any help They look fab. I don't know if they'll support my fat arse, but they look fab.

Better Homes and Gardens Adjustable-Height Spin Stool

I found this gorgeous set of bookends yesterday for 70% off the original price. They are thick and chunky and roughly weigh the same as real chairs.

Sofa Bookends

TheHubs™ play opens tonight, and by now they should be nearing the home stretch. He was more nervous than I've ever seen him, because ticket sales weren't all that great, and they really need an engaged audience.

This weekend is for laundry, seeing the play myself, and resting. I'm bushed deluxe.

How did the play go? I love theater.
And those chairs are beautiful! Hooray for new things! Glad to hear you're getting a bit of a break. 🌟💛🌟

Actually, the chairs ARE bookends! LOL They are about six inches square! I do wish I could afford new chairs, though - my front room and dining chairs are ratty messes due to Sevvy the Cat.

The play went like a dream - he said the theatre was packed, the audience laughed at literally everything, and they received a standing ovation at the end. He came home floating on a cloud. I was so happy - he never gets rattled about a play, but he was nervous about this one. It's his first real starring role here, and he wanted it to go over well. Judging from what he said, it certainly did. And the area's most prominent theatre reviewer was in the audience!

Thank you so much. I've never seen him so nervous about an opening night, nor so ecstatic about it afterward. I am going tonight, so I'm crossing fingers that the crowd will be just as up for it as last night's! ♥

Hi Teddy!! I'm sorry I've been so out of touch recently. I'm glad I caught this post and thrilled to see in the comments that The Hubs' play went over so well. Those bookends are too freakin' adorable. What a steal! Are they going in the SteamLib?

Hey girl! You are a sight for sore eyes!!! I'm so thrilled to see you here. I hope everything is going well - please email me and catch me up when you feel like it.

I'd love for you to come and see the play - it's in little ol' Pelzer Auditorium, and the tickets are only $10 per seat. It's a huge hit.

The bookends are indeed going in the SteamLib. We've been out today, and tonight is my night to go to the play, but when I put them out, I'll take a photo.

In the meantime - it's so awesome to see you here - seeing your name just made my day! ♥

It's good news all around! I'm so happy opening night was such a success. High-5 TheHubsâ„¢ for me. Having the area's most prominent theatre reviewer in the house is a real plus!

You got a great deal on the bookends, and they'll go great in the SteamLib. The BH&G stools are good looking, too.
