Or something like that. I've spent a wonderful day getting to sit in my cozy home, watching old episodes of The Professionals and knitting while it has rained steadily all day. I am very grateful for this day off - more than I can say. It's the first day in over two weeks where I haven't had some kind of committment every single day, including the weekends, and I needed it.

I'm also very grateful for the sheer amount of talented friends I have. The authors and artist whom I am privileged to call friend are so gifted, and you serve as a constant inspiration to me.

I have done very little writing this year, and now I have come to believe that I was meant for this haitus - I've been going at it steadily for years, and I was burned out - I just wouldn't admit it. And I'm grateful that I am capable of that as well. Next year promises to be quite fertile. Still receiving the rejection letters, but I haven't sent out any in a month or so. I need to give my ego a rest!

Tomorrow promises to not be too taxing a day work wise, which I'm also very thankful for - last week almost broke me.

The podcast seems to have been well-received - it was full of silly Halloween jingles and all sorts of strange topics. We received some very positive and thoughtful feedback.

I ordered a new pair of glasses (finally!!!) yesterday, so I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm off to get a tall glass of water, and get hydrated.

Sometimes you just need a break. I didn't write hardly a thing for years and now I seem to slowly be getting back in the groove. It happens *hugs*

Every creative person takes downtime, it can't be constant motion. Glad you feel at peace with the hiatus and that you got a full day just to do a whole lotta nothing. :)

Sometimes days spent doing things like watching movies or knitting can be all the excitement we need when the rest of our lives are so busy. Glad you had the opportunity to recharge.
