Man, only eight? I'll really have to murder my darlings for this. Warning, this is a rant and I'm going to rant it like a boss.

1. The fact that the job I love so very much is so unpredictable. We may have a stellar week this week, and next week have six hours of work. It's the most brilliant job in the world for a person like me, but it's frustrating that we just can't quite get everything done with it.

2. My own pettiness.

3. Facebook. I check on it often, and sometimes I hate it so much I think, "Right! I'm closing out my account!" Even though I know I won't.

4. Extreme pretentiousness. We all nurse a few pretensions now and then, but I really hate the 'disappearing up your own arse' pretentiousness I see at times. Local amateur theatre is the absolute worst.

5. Wasting time on my watch. I am more than capable of wasting my own time; I really hate it when other people do it for me.

6. Bad tea. There is no excuse for brewing bad tea. It's foolproof stuff.

7. That I'm not as talented as I wish I was. I'm not trawling for compliments; I truly wish I could do more things better.

8. Relgious hypocritical bullshittery in all its myriad forms. Finally setting myself free from the yoke of organised religion was the most liberating thing I've ever done, but it's made me really aware of all the stupidity and moronic crap people do and say in the name of religion, especially on Facebook (see no. 3 above). I especially get annoyed at the way some people shoehorn their religion into every subject and try to make it sound relevant or pertinent. I just want to say to them, "Stop doing that. You sound like a utter smug shit when you do. And don't tell me you're not judging me, because you are."

Hey, they were right (who are they? The wizards). I do feel better.

I know what you mean by #4. We have a big art college here - oh, for the sake of anonymity lets call it SCAD - many film students. So quite often I run into someone in the local 'acting community' and they are like, "I'm on set tomorrow" or some variation. "What are you filming for?" I ask. They reply "I'm working on an independent SCAD project." "Oh?" I say "You're helping someone with a homework assignment, then?"
No. They don't like me. But I can't stand when they pretend its a major film project when it's some freshman's fucking homework assignment in Film Production 101.
