To The Birthday Girl Belongs The Swag

...Er something like that! I am still celebrating birthday goodies (my dad told me that birthdays are more fun if you can stretch them out over a few days), and with today's final gift arriving from the ever-awesome (and that means EVER AWESOME)
stgulik, I just had to show off the goodies I received this year. I mean, what fun is getting pressies if you can't show them off??
Firstly,
kmhmd and Hubs B met us at Wild Wings on Monday, and presented me with the coolest plaque! It's based on the plaque at WWoHP and was made especially for me by a local artisan:

It's done on both sides, and is held by a black chain! I will admit to a bit of pre-wings squeeing when I unwrapped it. It's also very large - about 18 inches by 12 inches, and looks awesome in the Writing Nook.
Secondly,
stgulik (EVER AWESOME) sent me a package full of goodies.

The Steampunk book is a book of short stories in the steampunk universe. The illustrations alone are divine, and I can't wait to get stuck in. The novel March I haven't heard of, but the premise sounds delicious. I have a feeling I know what will be my bedside reading for the next few days. The guitar bookmark features a Fender Stratocaster, which is my favourite electric guitar (and looks a lot like Blackie, one of Eric Clapton's signature Fenders). You can imagine that TheHubs™ did a lot of overt coveting of the guitar stickers. If he's very good, I might let him play with them.
The little tin is especially adorable as it is addressed to Mrs Semolina, Victoria Rd, London. I love the stamped and the little 'S' seal:

And to keep me from losing my will to live in Walmart, she acquired the following from a dark, mysterious gentleman who gave her this after crossing his palm with silver:

He did mention I could also use in place of nutmeg in certain medicinal recipes as well.
And lastly, TheHubs™, who knows and shares my magpie-ish habits, found a fascinating light fixture in a local store, then went on to find the perfect lamp to place it on. You would never know these two items were not made for one another, but like TheHubs™ and me, it's a great fit. I'm sure there's another fat ball/thin stick analogy in here but it is Friday and I've already had a beer, so you're on your own with that one.

I think it looks like a very groovy, psychedlic globe. And here's what it looks like when you turn it on:

As you can imagine, the photos don't do it justice but it just suits my quirky self to the ground. As you may recall,
toblass sent me an adorable bracelet last week, which was black with a sterling silver skeleton key. My friends and family know me so well! ;)

Then as if life isn't sweet enough,
reynardo wrote a story partially based on one of my unused prompts during Promptfest. It's called Gallery, and it is a gorgeous fic, even if the beginning had me a little apprehensive, you naughty girl! ;)
I hope you all liked my goodies. I love sharing the joys I receive from my loved ones. They all mean so much to me.
