This.. always. Whatever moves you, write about it, you never know when you'll need it.

So true! My files are cluttered with bits of the novel that didn't make the cut, but they were too detailed for me to just completely throw away. Now I go back to them when I need some more descriptive detail and reuse them. I'm like those Antarctic explorers who left crates of food along the trail - you never know what I might need in the future, and I want to be able to find them easily.
