Ashwinder/Sycophant Hex Question

Can anyone help me? I've got a bit of a strange troll-like person reviewing me at Ash, and when I try to contact their help desk, it redirects me to Yahoo and says I have to log into Yahoo email.

Has anyone else had this problem before? I'm running out of ways to humour this person, and I'm starting to think it's a troll.

As far as I know, celisnebula still runs the helpdesk, though she may not check mail every day. Perhaps contact her through LJ?

She got so freaked out before I told her to put the fic in the freezer. She's completely bonkers. However, one of my FB friends said that she's read other fics and this person does the same every time. I wrote her back and asked her not to cut and paste the entire chapter. I wrote it. I know what it says.

Well, um... she's at least excited. And willing to show you exactly what parts got to her. And she probably has a shrine with your fic printed out in gothic script where she sacrifices chickens to the otp gods. The only thing that would make it complete is a lock of your hair and a vial of your blood. Hope you don't mind... what's a little blood between besties?

That's exactly what Jules said! I told her I appreciate excitement, but this is sort of 'staring down the barrels of a loaded shotgun' excitement. A little too much for my sedate old self.

I only send locks of hair and blood samples on request. And I'd have to think long and hard before I send that one! :)

I had to be nosey and look. Wow, she's something, alright! I don't think I've ever seen such a reaction from a reader before, especially on Ashwinder. Anyway, any time that I have contacted the help desk, my request has always gone straight through. I second the LJ suggestion, if you can't get it to work.

No, the sad thing is I'm not sure she's trying to be difficult, but someone needs to explain a little protocol to her. I've contacted both the help desk (I finally found an email address) and I also messaged celisnebula, but this is really the strangest. Nowt so queer as folk.

I can hunt down trolls...it takes me a while, but I can do it. Once located the home address of a troll. Non-sophisticated net users can be tracked in a few hours if you have the right software.

It's getting more difficult with clouds and smart phones and tablets. But data association can still do the job. It takes patience sometimes, but somewhere they make a mistake.

Cyber crime...those guys are as sophisticated as big floo and they attack servers to get at banking data and CC data. they are very good and very smart and totally ruthless.

well, i too had to go look and see what you were talking about, and i think i found it. i think she seems harmless enough, albeit annoying. frankly, i would ignore it as mimi suggests - anything else gives her far too much power. and the more you give energy to any drama around the situation, the more drama there will be. best to just starve it of any power. at least that's my opinion.

Anyway... I have to say I agree with droxy. Ignore it - you might get lucky and it goes away on its own (I really hope it does).

I've been reading the other comments here, and I agree, a shrine to you would be really weird and over the top. *glances around nervously, then blows out candles,takes down pictures, and removes all evidence* :)

In all honesty, I don't think you've made it big until you've started to attract weirdos. Just comes with the territory, I think.
