I really need to stop reading these things - I'm not sure I'm interesting enough for this:

1. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up: corkboard, Mimi's SeverusMuse calendar, Bosco the cat, printer, art to hang on walls

2. What's the last thing you ate? Spinach & Cheese Quiche, Sundried Tomato Wraps

3. What are you wearing now? Lavender nightshirt

4. What's your occupation? Tea Room Owner

5. What do you hear right now? My laptop's fan

6. Who was the last person you hugged? The Hubs

7. What was/is for dinner? see #2

8. Chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla ice cream (or other)? Butter Pecan.

9. When did you last see your sibling(s)? Don't have any.

10. What websites do you always visit when you go online? LJ, Ashwinder, Hotmail, FB, Yahoo, deviantArt, TPP

11. What was the last thing you bought? Cat food

12. Do you think your name suits you? I despise it. I surely was meant for a better one. Why do you think I insist on Teddy?

13. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Doing pretty much what I'm doing now

14. What TV shows do you watch too much? Family Guy

15. How easily do you cry, and about what (apart from obviously traumatic things like losing someone you love)? I cry extremely easily

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play? harp

17. How are you? Okay, a little hungry

18. What are your top three favorite bands? Queen, Madness, Kiss

19. Who is your best friend? Kela

20. What's your latest addiction? Creme Brulee

21. What's the last good movie you saw? Blow Dry

I'm sorry I'm so predictable, but these things are like M&Ms. You just gotta do 'em...

I think everyone goes through a meme phase when they start on lj. At least you haven't posted 'which pizza are you' and 'if your friends were a pirate crew who would be what' yet ;)... *resists giving you the link to where to find those*. Believe me, it's for your own good!

Also, does that song mean you're writing? ;) *waiting excitedly for next installments*

Quiche is so cool, you can make anything with the basic recipe - we've thrown everything into ours and they all taste good! We did a pear/brie quiche once - it was great. I think it would be perfect though, with a stronger cheese, like gorgonzola or something like that.

You own a tea shop? I have always wanted to get into tea, but I'm a little chicken about it. I have some tea that I really like, it's a hot cinnamon spice one that is really good, but really strong and kind of burns my throat from all the spice. Do you have any suggestions on if I should put something in it or not?
I have always wanted to try making a quiche, but I have never even tried one, so I wouldn't even know if it was or wasn't right. But a spinach and cheese one sounds really good!

Pink, that's the fun about tea - there are literally 1000's of different types of tea. I would recommend looking online - it's relatively cheap, and we also ship all over the country :)

Quiche is dead easy - get a vegetable frozen pie shell, blind bake it, in the meantime beat 5 large eggs, 1 cup heavy cream, 1/3 cup of milk, together, add your favourite spices, then add whatever you want - spinach, bacon, tomato, asparagus - literally anything you want. Then add a couple of handfuls of shredded cheese, and bake for 45 minutes, or until the middle is still a little wobbly. Let it sit for about 10-20 minutes, cut and enjoy - couldn't be easier!!!

I'm still just a beginner at cooking, so I may have what you think is a really stupid question. What does blind baking a frozen pie shell mean? And can you get a vegetable frozen pie shell at any grocery store?

And do you recommend any kinds of tea for a beginner like me? Anything safe and easy or should I just pick what sounds good? And should milk be put in tea, or is that a big no-no?

Blind baking means to bake it before you put any filling in it. Take it our of the freezer, let it come to room temp, then poke holes in it several places (this keeps it from puffing up), then bake for about 10 minutes. Then add your fillings.

I would pick what sounds good, and use 1 tsp of loose tea per cup. Teabags are ok, but the more expensive the better. Cheap tea bags are yuck. Milk or lemon in tea is fine according to your preference. There's not really a right or wrong way - just experiment a little, and you will find what you like. I like tea in some black teas, but not in white or green, but again, tea is a personal thing. I also prefer loose to teabags, but again, that is my preference and I think loose tea is much more economical as well. Sorry to be so long in replying, but I look to hotmail to inform me of a message, and as you know, LJ is wacko right now with notificaitons.

You replied just in time! I went to the store today to get groceries and happened to check my email before I left and saw your reply! I am going to try to make one tomorrow for dinner, so wish me luck!
Thanks for your advice on tea. I picked up some today and am excited to give it a try. I got vanilla chai, so hopefully I will enjoy it. (I better enjoy it, I went over my budget to get it.)

I think Vanilla Chai is lovely! Try it with a bit of milk and sugar; I think it is best that way. All flavoured teas benefit from a little sweetner, to give the flavour something to wrap itself around.
