I've got three chapters at the most and I'm done. My beta is making some very nice noises while reading it. I like the arc of the story, I like the humor, the snarkiness, the sexiness and the ending, which is already written.

All I've got to do now is write the denouement. I'm a little nervous. I wrote the first chapters, then the last ones, and now I'm meeting them up in the middle. I like to do that on occasion; it's a bit of an exercise to see how well they dovetail, and I've had good luck. So far.

The Hubs has agreed to do a 'audio book' reading of my original story, Her Minder, for my friend kela, who has a terribly long commute and loves to listen to books when driving. She has insisted on us going to the midnight showing of DH2, and I have agreed providing I get to sit in her lap and she has to comfort me while I make a food of myself. I'm going to take a box of tissues, knowing what a crybaby I am. I wouldn't be going at all except she is coming up that weekend just to go to the cinema with us.

Speak of reading aloud, he read the following quote to me a few moments ago. It was very funny, spoken as it was in his clipped, lovely British accent, in a perfectly 'naice' public service announcement sort of way:

Well, not according to the people who brought you this test, blatantly stolen from Mimi:

The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to the Seventh Level of Hell!
Here is how you matched up against all the levels:
LevelScore
Purgatory (Repenting Believers)Very Low
Level 1 - Limbo (Virtuous Non-Believers)Very Low
Level 2 (Lustful)Very High
Level 3 (Gluttonous)Very High
Level 4 (Prodigal and Avaricious)Low
Level 5 (Wrathful and Gloomy)Very High
Level 6 - The City of Dis (Heretics)Very High
Level 7 (Violent)Extreme
Level 8- the Malebolge (Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers)Very High
Level 9 - Cocytus (Treacherous)Moderate

Take the Dante's Divine Comedy Inferno Test

I don't remember answering questions that indicated I was THAT violent. I've never been in a fight in my life! Maybe I want to be, though. Hmmm.....

Because [livejournal.com profile] droxy and[livejournal.com profile] irishredlass69 did it, of course I had to be a copycat. This is to see if your writing is more male or female orientated. It can be done HERE:

From Lay Me Low, Chapter 17:
Words:
1146

Female Score: 1805
Male Score: 1194

The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: female!

This is from The Sensual World, Chapter 3:
Words:
1572

Female Score: 1734
Male Score: 1583

The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: female!

Funnily enough, I submited the exact same passge prior to this, only less of it, and it was wildly Male. Hmm. I always knew I could swing both ways with a couple bottles of wine...

The Hubs sent me this, knowing how we all love a good chuckle, and it appealed to me:
