I'm Probably Going To Regret This, But...

I have signed up for SSHG Gift fest. I'm rusty as hell and my prompts are naff AF and no one will want to write for me/want me to write for them. What was I thinking?

I've turned in the final notes for Evan on The Chine. It's nearly over. Listening to his reading has make me cry, laugh, blush, and think many dirty thoughts. He also caused me to seriously regret killing off one of my eveel characters so early in the story. He read him with such delicious badness I miss him.

Still haven't packed for trip yet. The capacitor in our AC went out last night, so unfortunately holiday money had to be shelled out for comfort indoors, but at least we had the money to shell out.

Tomorrow is a crazy busy day. I need to think about sleep. Stay fresh, cheese bags!!

I'm a bit in a tither right now over the trip, so I'll definitely give it some thought when I get back. The AC is working great now, and we actually didn't get caned as badly as we anticipated. Nothing we can't make up with the next paycheck before we go.

Oh tosh!!! I can't imagine someone being disappointed that they got matched with you - maybe more intimidated because You Are Amazing. I'm so glad you joined in the fun!!

I hate that the AC went out. There's never a good time for it, but before a trip is the worst! At least you are cool - folks don't know how miserable The South is without it.

To be honest, I'm the one who's intimidated at the moment. Fingers crossed that I can write something that makes sense. I got so damn burned the last time I did the fest, I swore I would never do it again, but in the past (before this last time) it was so fun. I just want to give it one last go.

Thank you sweetie! As I posted in your post, I completely understand. I'm already regretting it. And my prompts - oy. I pity the poor participant who gets saddled with them. And the last couple of giftfests I participated in were absolute disasters. I got into a fight with the previous Mod on the last one and ended up pulling out; the one before that my recipient absolutely hated it.

To be honest, I don't know why I did it, other than I wanted to get a little creative writing in before I tackle Book 3. It looks to be a hot mess, and I know stgulik has her work cut out. Thankfully, she agreed to help me on this gift, so I know I'm in good hands, even if I only meet the required 1K words.

Besides, you've got more than a little bit on your plate right now ;)
