Just couldn't resist doing this little meme. I apologise for it, even as I post it. It's just so hard, when you're an Empress, to resist little things like this. Apparently.

I'm a sucker for Tarot. Have you seen Ellygator's HP Tarot? It is lovely.

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

Ellygator's cards rock.

I dont put much stock in this stuff.

But, I'm always the wheel of fortune. It's generic. I wish it was true, but it's s meme quiz. Sometimes I take the quiz with the snape persona. But I dont have time.

I have a stunning deck called The Enchanted Tarot, which is just so beautiful and has always spoken to me more than any other. I used to collect different decks, but I found I just came back to that one over and over again...

I first started on the Rider Waite deck, but couldn't really get on with it. The strangest deck I ever had was a round deck, and it just messed with my head too much.... it is amazing how many decks there are. Some of them are just works of art in an amongst themselves.

I used to have the Golden Dawn tarot deck. Then, a while back, Sempra gave me a set of runes. People have given me runes in the past, but I had never gotten into them or kept them. This was the third time, and it felt... different... somehow. Then the Muse put his two cents in, and inspired me to make a set of rune cards. I drew the Muse posed in the configuration of each of the rune symbols. I printed them up as cards, laminated them, and they are what I use instead of tarot cards. And they work. Really, really well. And I think that's because I made them myself, with the help of the Muse, so they are naturally attuned to both me and him.

That sounds beautiful. could you scan one so I could see it, or are they online anywhere? I have the Enchanted Tarot. It is the one I have used in the past and always felt connected to. I used to collect decks, but I never had one to work for me like this one.

I've never thought of doing my own cards before. Hmm...add that to the craft list! And I've never worked with runes before. I'd like to try them, but I don't know them very much. I always used Tarot like a self-meditation thing as well. I would like this year to learn how to read tea leaves, but the only thing I ever see in the bottom of the cup tells me 'you need to clean this cup'.

I'm thinking after the Hub's kids come to visit at the end of Feb that I'm going to finally turn the spare bedroom into a proper craft and writing space, instead of cluttering up the kitchen table. I might just give making my own cards a go. I've loved Tarot since I was a child. My Baptist parents thought I was evil and prayed over me a lot.

Whoa - they are stunning. You are just the most clever person! The attitudes of his body bring to mind some Native American art I've seen in the Southwest, and also some celtic art as well.

That is just amazing. So beautifully, almost innocently erotic. I gotta tell you, as I'm just sitting here, looking though those, the Muse was just oohing and aahing in my ear the whole time - he was loving it!
