Calling All My Artistic Friend - Podfic_Fest Needs You!

Seriously, it would be so awesome if you could help out - I'm reading a lovely SSHG story, and nothing would thrill me more than for one of you to illustrate it.

Sounds intriguing, but I am currently working 74 hours per week with little hope of it slowing down until May. Maybe next time I'll offer when I can follow through.

On this, from what I understand you just offer up your services to any and all takers? I'd most definitely do a solid for you teds (and a couple of other people) but how do you know who's going to pick you? (I admit, I'm not a fan of audiobooks and the like so I would prefer someone just pick a scene and give me the run down or direct the cover and the other thing is, my muse is kind of in poor repair right now so I'm almost scared to have someone relying on me.)

Babe, from what I understand, you can create art for the story I'm reading and I'll pair them up. As far as I'm concerned, I want you to feel 100% comfortable with it. If you like, I can send you the story I'm reading, and you could look through it and see if it's anything you'd be interested in drawing. It's a relatively short story as well, so nothing too in depth. The subject matter is also very quiet and sad and beautiful., and to be honest, I think you would do a stunning job on it.

Just let me know if you'd like to read it - the way I understood it, is that you can get someone to 'do art' for your podfic as a companion piece, and that's what I would love for us to do if you'd like to. I don't want you to feel pressured in any way, and if you decide 'thanks but no thanks', that will totally be cool as well. ♥

Send it along and let me take a look. I'd really like to do something for you, especially after the wonderful fic you wrote me. I'd also like to stay somewhat involved in fandom. I'm becoming so disconnected from it and if I do this for you, I can keep my hand in and make a friend happy. My muse is a little off, but I'll try my best.

Do you happen to know the deadline off hand? I looked at the artist info but it didn't jump out at me. (I'm still nursing an ear infection and getting increasingly worried that the meds aren't working.)
