I am banned

I just got home from a songwriter's guild meeting and went to log into my deviantArt and was told I was banned permanently. Apparently, some of the Marquise art I'd posted was considered kiddie porn!

I am so gutted I'm crying like a baby. I just can't believe all that hard work of putting together and amassing all the lovely pieces of art are gone now. And I'd just bought a 2-year membership, and I think that has been forfeited as well.

I am pig sick. I mean, I feel physically ill.

Caveat, people. If you find art you love, download it. Don't put it on deviantArt. I have lost hundreds of favourites, including a beautiful collection of Sempraseverus. I can start over, but I don't have the heart.

I have written to deviantArt and begged them to reconsider, but it'll just be my luck they'll tell me where to stick it.

So, I guess this will be my new home away from home. I will miss my deviantArt friends so badly, though. Maybe I can get an assumed name....

Bambu, thank you so much for your compassionate and caring words. I have been made to feel so welcome here, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone's concern. It is so humbling that Droxy would take time out and tell her friends about this, and for her friends to befriend me.

Droxy is an amazing woman, and a great spokesperson for the fandom. She has such integrity.

Having said that, you're most welcome. I've found LJ to be a wonderful community of supportive adults who understand about fandom and real life. About intersections and separations, and about exploring one's art.

I think you'll fit right in!
