The rules are slightly different from last year, so have a quick peruse of them and jump on board. This is my favourite fest because, at only 200 words, it's so fun and I know I will have a lovely Halloween treat waiting for me.

Sorry about the "no art" thing, but it would just be a hard equivalent at a mere 200 words.

BUT, if you want to draw something for the community, we will gladly put it up on Halloween with the other posts. In fact, Lore's birthday is then, and you could make a special surprise for her. (hint hint) (She's a big Snape/Lupin fan.)

i know it's terribly petty of me but i did this fest last year and the recipient of my piece didn't even comment on it so i was left with a bad feeling from it that makes me not as likely to do it again this year. :(

I'm so sorry you had that experience. There are fests I no longer participate in for very similar reasons. I feel hypocritical saying, "Oh, give it another go," because I haven't with the other fests, because I completely understand.
