A Day of Lows and Very Highs

Well, one of the things I can honestly say is that becoming part of HP Fandom has given me so many delightful surprises. It has literally changed my life in ways I would have never guessed and brought me a level of friendships that have been nothing short of magical. I've received awards, I've been sent incredible gifts based on stories I've written - this is a rendering of  "What Say You?" from Father Figure, made by hechicera. It included real 'Recognise-Me-Not Quills', dragon's blood ink, die with H's and P's on it for Hex and Portkey, questions and writing pads for answers, all in a beautifully painted box.  :



Now, that blew my big ass away, and still does when I play it. Today, I received another such awesome surprise. Apparently, my MISTI 2013 roomies droxy, sabrebabe, and irishredlass, together with a lovely lady I met at Con named Mary Trupp MacLeod got together for my benefit. Mary had an adorable Teddy bear in an aviator costume, which she said reminded her of my logo, and it became my 'stunt double' at MISTI-Con. Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful gesture. It is such an awesome thing. One of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. Tons of people posed for it and Droxy took the photos. You can see them all HERE.

The Season Finale of Game of Thrones ended and it was a doozy season. Definitely not for snowflakes. I'm still reeling and feeling petulant and full of personal butthurt and making mild threats about never watching it again. But still - Teddy and friends!!! Yes, it's hard to feel butthurt when you're in the midst of all this friend love.
