Aside from the REAL things, like food, water, shelter and the three cats:
1. My personal gadgets - ie, my computer, my external HDs, my mp3 players and my Kindle. I don't have a fancy phone, but I really am not myself if I can't log onto my pc or read my Kindle every night in bed or listen to my favourite tunes.
2. My spiritual beliefs. I no longer believe in religious dogma, but that doesn't mean I don't have a very deep spiritual faith in my Muse and the eternity of the soul.
3. My glasses. My eyesight is horrific; -9.00 in one eye and -8.75 in the other. Until I can afford lasik, glasses and contacts enable me to function. Right now, my glasses are terribly out of prescription, and I do feel a certain disconnect to the world because I can't see things very clearly. I'm fortunate that I'm not showing any signs of cataracts or glaucoma yet, but I wouldn't rule them out eventually.
4. The support of those who have encouraged me. It's not just that you've shown such stalwart support over the years; you've also made me realise I can support MYSELF, without coming across as conceited or entitled, which I was brought up from infancy to believe would be the case if I so much as agreed with anyone regarding any talent or achievement I might have.
5. My bidet. How on earth did I live without it all these years?
