...because I said I wouldn't do this meme, since everyone knows so much about me anyway. And now I'm doing it because if I can't write about Severus and Hermione, I'd rather write about myself. Mind you, I've done this so many times I'm really having to dig into the TMI mine to find things I haven't already told you.

1. I collect corks, bottlecaps, skeleton keys, jeans, license plates and wooden spools and trawl Pinterest daily for ideas of what to do with them. Jeans I'm making into a huge rag rug. The others are still in contention.
2. I'm famously shit at anything athletic, but I am truly stunning at Wii Bowling. I mean, like, I beat EVERYBODY at it. What's that about?
3. I use 1950's Homemaker plates as everyday china.
4. I have a fetish about characters who find their 'twin', or someone who looks just like them. I fantasise about putting them in situations where they watch their doppelganger interact with other people (their friends, lovers, etc). I've already tried to write one fanfic with this theme, but I can't make it work. I think this says alot about my voyeuristic/exhibitionistic proclivities.
5. I have broken two teeth on oyster pearls. I have fixed neither of them.
6. I used to have a birthmark. It's not there anymore.
7. I'm basically ambidextrious and fully crossed-dominance with regard to eye-hand coordination. Which does me no good whatsoever because I'm also horrifically nearsighted.
8. I lost my virginity when I was 13. I didn't have an orgasm until I was 17.
9. I once lied my head off on a lie detector test and got away with it.
10. I am in lust with three people on my LJ friends list.

Do you still want more jeans? I think I have some in my giveaway bag. And I'm probably going to replace at least one of my regular pairs soon. As much as I'd love to make one of those jean rugs myself, I'll be honest and say I probably won't have time or energy for a few years.

2. When I was taking care of my mother, I got addicted to a Nintendo golf game to decompress, and then graduated to a Playstation with a Tiger Woods golf game. I got quite good, though if I played the game in actuality, I am sure it would frustrate me no end.

3. I'm not sure what Homemaker plates are. Fiestaware from the 30s is our everyday AND best china. I inherited some pieces from my uncle, and just kept adding to it at garage sales and resale shops. Even though I'm not a fan of color, that stuff makes me feel happy.

They were originally sold in Woolworth's in the 1950's. Now they are highly sought after (especially the specialty plates). We have a pretty big collection of the three different size plates, a few cups and saucers and bowls.

We were big into the retro kitchen look in the UK and when we moved back I just couldn't part with our Homemakers. They look really cool with any colour.

I didn't keep the pearls unfortunately. they were ugly misshapen, lumpy things, sort of like me! LOL

I haven't received the books yet; when did you send them? I'm on pretty good terms with my mail carrier; I can ask her about them if it's been too long for comfort.

I sent it on Dec 30th. It was a big box (38 lbs!!) so I sent it Media Mail, but it should still have made it there by now. Maybe you can ask? Unfortunately I didn't pay extra for tracking, I didn't think it would be necessary as it was so big!
