I hope you are all enjoying the post-Christmas weekend as much as I am. It's been a great Christmas season - very inspirational.

Best gifts: A new Keurig to replace the one that died on us a few months back. Yes, Irish, I'm podding again!! And it's red!!

And holy smokes, how did I live without a bidet all my life? kmhmd and hubby B took pity on my amazon wish list and bought it for me. It is amazing! I recommend one to everybody. I want one in my guest bathroom now. It's the billy bollocks. Of course, TheHubs™, as a card-carrying skeptical Brit, remains unconvinced. As for me, I don't ever want to live in a house without one ever again.

They aren't that expensive, and it took TheHubs™ about 5 minutes to install. I don't know what I've done without one until now.

Thank you! The last time I used one was probably in the 80's, but it is really nice - and even with the cold weather, the water isn't as cold as you think it will be. ;)

i have always appreciated the bidet when i've been lucky enough to be staying at a hotel somewhere in europe that has one, lol. i'll add it to my wish list for some day when i have a house of my own. that's awesome that your friends bought it for you. :D

I've never used one, but can see how it would be a wonderful thing to have. Unfortunately, our only bathroom (That's right. We just have the one. It's an old house.) is smaller than the walk-in closets that come with most houses these days. When we moved in, there was a vanity sink, and we had to replace it with a smaller pedestal sink in order to have more room. And a bidet in the kitchen might be a tad eccentric even for me....

Actually, this one is made to be installed in your regular toilet - it's just plumbed into the line along with the commode. It's not even expensive - but wow, what a difference!

Be sure to tell him it took TheHubs™ about five minutes to install. It's really just that easy - and sooooo nice. Even in the colder weather, the water is not unpleasant.

I installed one for my mother several years ago and it was a Godsend. I've thought about one for our bathroom, but as youngest is only 4, I think it would be too much temptation. Will wait, but have added your link to my wish list.

I understand that! Of course the first thing TheHubs™ did when he installed it was switch it on - it spurted all over the front of his shirt! Duh!

But in reality I don't know how I lived without one. My friends kept extolling the virtue of theirs and I totally get it now - it's definitely something I didn't know I needed, but now I don't want to go to the bathroom anywhere else! ;)
