We're here! We're here! I'm not a heavy commenter, but I lurk and read.

I do wonder about my own posts being read as well, since some of them nary receive a comment at all. But I suppose I'm not the only one reading with nothing much to add to the conversation.

Also, I suppose when you have to compete against Facebook, Twitter, Instigram, Pinterest, Tumblr and other burgeoning social media platforms, that leaves less time to comment on LJ. Or as I refer to LJ as, "The social media that required you be be able to spell correctly and write with complete and coherent sentences."

As do I. I was on FB until they reclassified my page and now I have no feed, I can't comment on most pages. It's a joke. I've given up on FB. The wankage on FB is also ridiculous, so I feel no loss leaving it behind.

No, darling, you've done nothing wrong. On my part, I've been busy busy with holiday things, a sister who's just had a rather serious health scare and a bit of a mad attack of the crafty creatives!

I've made three bags, a nightdress for a friend from scratch - including drafting, made some refashioned maternity clothes for a pregnant family member and, it feels like about a thousand, lavender infused rice bags for friends who requested them for Christmas pressies after seeing the ones I made for myself. They're great hot or cold packs and I've made covers for them as well so they can stay clean. The nightdress is for a friend of mine who suffers terribly from severe eczema and so I made her an old fashioned double yoked nightdress with french seams and a lot of it hand sewn so as to make it as soft on her skin as possible. I found a lovely old soft, high quality cotton sheet and made it from that. I plan on making a few more for her so she can at least get a bit of a comfy sleep, especially with the hot weather we've been having kicking her condition up.

The bags all turned out very well - one very comfy one for me, one funky one for a teenaged friend of the family and one stylish one for my sister - all made from recycled cloth. They turned out so well, I'm thinking of making a few more designs I have in mind.

I've made leather bags in the past, but never cloth ones and really haven't done much sewing for the last ten or so years, so it's nice to get the bug again.

So, consequently, I haven't been online much at all and will admit to just scanning the first page of posts when I have dropped in on LJ. Sorry darling!

I agree, it has been very quiet here on LJ compared to the past. I do tend to lurk and read a lot, but very seldom post myself, aside from my weekly OBM rec's, and my commenting is random.(sometimes a lot and sometimes not at all). I also agree with everyone else's comments that it seems that everyone is busy this time of year. I am getting ready for our family holiday celebration this coming weekend, this year at my oldest daughters house. Still have presents to wrap, goodies to prepare and last minutes gifts to buy!

I've been reading and commenting on your posts, but since I don't do the Christmas thing, I have more time than most people. However, I haven't been using that time on the computer -- I generally just go on in the morning, and sometimes later on, but sometimes not. I've been reading a lot (am currently reading Life of Pi. The movie is definitely in my top ten list, so when I saw the book, I thought "why not?").

I''ve started school again this fall when I was already overextended beyond belief, so I banned myself from anything fun for one year. Including trolling LJ. It's been tough, but I'm going to make up for lost time on winter break.

I do try to check my friends page in the morning and after work, but sometimes my ol' arse is too tired to string two words together. But I do read the posts. I've totally slacked on the commenting portion. Last month I attempted NaNo for the first time and now I'm scrambling to keep the kids on task and do a paid editing gig. Oh and let's not forget the new fur baby. she's not a distraction though
