Because if I did, I would be kellychambliss. From her gorgeous fic Right Nor Wrong, she has Argus Filch make this observation:

"Severus were a man what made people feel things -- strong things, dark things, needy things. The Headmistress weren't the first person to want him. To want to understand him or save him or join in his righteous darkness. To want to share the power of him. To have him want them."

To me, this sums up Severus Snape in a nutshell. I think I'm going to cross stitch this and frame it over my desk.

I love writing Filch. I hate the way they buffooned him in the films. I think he has immense potential, as you well know from my own writings about him. One of my greatest triumphs was having someone say they cried over him in Lay Me Low.

I will happily take your Severus in lieu of cross-stitch! In all actuality, I have a cousin who is awesome at it - and she's thinking about getting back into it. I may actually ask her to do it - it is such an incredible statement that sums up everything about him that attracted me the first time I read his speech in Philosopher's Stone.

It's a genius piece of writing, and it inspired and shook me.
