SED - 30 October 2013
Oct. 30th, 2013 11:45 pmWell, today's been....a day. The good stuff is that I am sailing along on my promptfest and it's a pretty sure thing that barring no disasters, I'll finish it in the next week or so.
TheHubs(r) has really been under the weather. It all started last weekend in one of those incidences you look back and think, well that was kinda dumb. He is as healthy as a horse, normally. But he was watching something humourous and took and drink and laughed at the same time. He choked, and I have never heard such loud, bellowing coughing. He coughed for almost thirty solid minutes, unable to clear his lungs (I told him he must have inhaled half a pint of liquid, the way he coughed and spluttered).
Ever since then, he's not felt well. I think he just strained his diaphragm and stomach muscles, because he says they feel tight, and he feels full. The first day he had slight nausea but he wasn't ill. He's felt really weak and puny since, to the point where he's a little worried. He's been asleep since late afternoon, and I'm just worried about him. He's not hurting anywhere else, and the nausea is gone but he says he feels 'full' all the time.
Tonight I was invited to a chat room full of what I thought were people discussing some common points about things in which I am interested. I was there for three hours, just checking in and jumping out to write or work on paperwork for tomorrow. It was the most puerile, infantile, banal conversations about drinking, video games and partying. Everyone there sounded about 18. A few actually were. Flippin' dreary. Now I remember why I kept saying, no thanks. Honestly, the maturity level was just dismal. Well, lesson learned. Not going there again.
I am listening to the Game of Thrones Season 3 soundtrack; it is beautiful, but everything sounds really sad and winsome, and I think it is bringing down my mood. Unfortunately it is one of the few things I can listen to and write at the same time.
LJ has been doing some strange stuff today to my journal page, changing back and forth with every refresh. On top of that, suddenly, out of the blue, YouTube will no longer play. I can get it to limp along in IE, but Chrome and Firefox, nothing. Sheesh, I'm a right little ray of sunshine tonight.
I'll leave you with something I saw on Tumblr not too long ago. As many of you know, I have an interest in the D/s lifestyle, and this was posted by a Dom, who, to be fair, was laughing about it wanted to share it as sort of a 'don't do this' teaching tool to neophyte Dominants:
