1. What did you think of Snape's death scene in the film?
2. What did you think of Lucius Malfoy running away from Voldemort in the final film?
3. What did you think of Fred, Lupin and Tonks demises in the films?
4. What do you think JKR's face would have looked at when writing DH? Smug? Fearful? Scowling?
5. How did your OTP end up like in canon as opposed to what you would have done (cut answer short if possible; we don't need a meta)
6. After all this time, always, what house are you in and why?
7. Are you looking forward to Fantastic Beasts?
8. Do you think Fantastic Beasts will be an addition to or an end to HP fandom?

1. I expected to bawl my eyes out, but I was instead frustrated at the film makers for changing it. The snake striking did make me gasp, though. It was effective, but the idea of him dying in the same place where he'd almost died as a boy would have carried much more pathos to the fans.
2. Made sense. He was a man who wanted to put as much distance between himself and Tom Riddle and the entire fiasco. Heck, he's probably still running.
3.The Weasleys gathered around Fred was so very moving. Julie Walters is a superb actress, and I felt for her. Like Droxy said, Remus and Lupin were just lying there, like cordwood. It was just a visual, and not a very inspiring one at that.
4. Oh, she was loving it. She had the bit between her teeth, and she knew the big set pieces would be the star of the book. And by then, she definitely had a visual idea of how the story would look on film, and that shows in her writing.
5. My OTP is SSHG, so it didn't, but it should have. It would have.
6. All the sorting memes place me in Ravenclaw, but I don't feel like I am. I think of myself more as Hufflepuff, but I keep scoring Ravenclaw for some reason.
7. Not now, but I will, probably. A story like HP is all about the recurring familiar faces; this smacks of moneyspinning more than yarnspinning, but that's the way of the world. I don't blame them. I'll probably see it.
8. I don't know. Depends on JKR, I think.

10. I just finished the ASOIAF series, and yes, I compared them a little. They both have their strengths and weaknesses as writers, and they both write of magic and relationships.

Date: 2013-09-27 02:43 am (UTC)also, as far as your house - the sorting hat listens to what you want, so if you identify as hufflepuff, that can be your house, lol. i mostly test as ravenclaw, but i self-sorted into hufflepuff during the owl cup. that is, i discussed it with my sister who is also an hp fan and would be either gryffindor or hufflepuff. i told her if she wanted to be gryffindor, then i'd go ravenclaw, but if she went to hufflepuff, then i'd want to be a 'puff like her, lol. mind you, this is all completely theoretical as she didn't even do the owl house cup, lol, but we both went to hufflepuff so we could be together. lol.

Date: 2013-09-27 02:48 am (UTC)I'm not really bothered about House, you know? I just wanted to be sorted somewhere. I think that's what the sorting hat does, just gives you a feeling of knowing you belong somewhere. So many people don't.
