These things are like potato chips:

Day 1: Your favourite of the 7 books
Half-Blood Prince

Day 2: Your favourite of the 7 movies so far.
The first one. It was so new and we didn't know what sadnesses lay ahead. I still remember the excitement of them turning the corner and seeing the Hogwart's Express for the first time.

Day 3: Which (if any) of the films have made you angry because they've ignored important parts of the book?
All of them, but DHPart 1 just infuriated me. Yes, we know you spent a lot of time in the bloody tent, but what about what else was happening in the Wizarding world? Sheesh, I was rooting for the Snatchers by the time they caught up with them.

Day 4: Your least favourite female character and why
Lily Evans. I thought she was shallow and vain, and not just because I'm a Snape whore, either.

Day 5: Favourite male character and why
Severus. There is the misfit in me that can see why he turned out the way he did, and I still think JKR should have given him a little better send-off. She gave the demise of Crabbe (or was it Goyle? she made them more or less interchangable) more pathos.

Day 6: What house would you want to be in? What house do you think you'd be put into?
I think I'd probably end up in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, just because I tend to be one of those 'fools rush in where angels fear to tread' types.

Day 7: Favourite female character and why
Hermione. She really is the glue that holds so much of the stories together. It's no wonder that JKR considered in the beginning of making her the main character of the stories, and in many ways, I wish she had.

Day 8: What do you think would be your favourite Hogwarts subject?
Either Transfiguration or Potions, which both appeal to my sense of creativity.

Day 9: Least favourite male character and why
Percy Weasley. He was a twat.

Day 10: Pick one: Horcruxes or Hallows
Hallows seem to have a little more usefullness, unless, of course, the horcruxes were made from your own soul

Day 11: The character you relate to most
Severus - I was a teacher that didn't particularly like children, and I know what it's like to feel thrown away by someone you loved. I also understand how tempting the idea of vengeance and cutting off one's nose to spite one's face can be.

Day 12: Favourite pairing
SSHG. It's the first one I read, and the one that makes the most sense to me. They do seem to have so many similar traits. As Bloodcult of Freud wrote in 7 Preposterous Things, if Hermione had been with Severus in the beginnings, there would have been no Death Eaters - she would have never allowed that kind of crap on her watch!

Day 13: Least favourite of the movies
Order of the Phoenix - it was a shadow of the book in every way. Everything I thought to be critical and crucial to the story was left out.

Day 14: Team Voldemort or Team Harry?
Can I just watch and see who wins?

Day 15: Who would be your best friends at Hogwarts (pick up to 3)
McGonnagal, Severus, Flitwick. I think I would rock with the teachers.

Day 16: Favourite professor
McGonagall.

Day 17: What would your wand be made from?
Cherry, with dragon's heart-string

Day 18: Least favourite of the books
Order of the Phoenix

Day 19: Books or movies?
Books. No doubt about it. The films are fun, but they can't cast the spell of the books.

Day 20: If you could meet one member of the cast, who would it be?
Alan Rickman. I just think that if I could spend five minutes speaking with him, he'd leave wondering where I'd been all his life.

Day 21: If you could bring one of the characters back to life, who would it be?
Do I REALLY have to answer that question? Severus, of course. I'm still convinced she left his death ambiguous for a reason...

Day 22: Harry Potter or Twilight?
Never read Twilight - I just think I'd hate it. So Harry Potter it is. Don't tell my Mum, though. She thinks the sun shines out of Twilight's collective arse.

Day 23: Parts of the books/films that made you cry?
Dumbledore's death, and the entire Prince's tale, after Severus died. I actually went back and re-read his death. It was so 'meh', she might as well have said. "Snape got bit by a snake. Bled a bit. He died. Left some memories. End of Chapter."

Day 24: Any particular scene you wanted in the films but was left out?
Snape's Worst Memory. So glossed over it might as well been missing.

Day 25: Satisfied with the epilogue?
One of JKR's biggest flaws as a writer was how to end a book. Every one of them ended like someone smacking head first into a plate-glass window. The last one was hideous. I've been mentally rewriting that Epilogue long before I wrote my first fanfic. It was awful. Toadying and so smug I wanted to slap it.

Day 26: If you were able to use one spell without a wand, what would it be?
Apparition. I'm a lazy bitch.

Day 27: Which of the Hallows would you rather own?
Resurrection Stone. The Invisibility Cloak is nice, but I'm not a very sneaky person, and too many people are fussing over the Elder wand. I'd like to stick to living forever.

Day 28: Who would be your nemesis at Hogwarts? Lavender Brown. I think she's a bit of a bitch and would talk about you behind your back.

Day 29: Is there a job you'd like to have if you were part of the wizarding world?
Love to teach at Hogwarts. I hated teaching in the Muggle world, but I think I'd rock as a Hogwarts teacher.

Day 30: Describe the effect Harry Potter has had on your life and how much it means to you?
I'm stunned on a daily basis how one series, and in particular, one character, has given me such a scope for creativity. I have my own theories why this character spoke to me in such a way, and those of you who know me well know those theories and share many of them, but it is amazing how it put me in touch with artists, writers and friends that have given me such inspiration, encouragement and love.

I am beginning to think you are my blond twin. You were a teacher too!

I was, indeed! I taught for four years - one in SC, three in Oklahoma. I used to work with Bloodcult of Freud's auntie!! How's that for a small world?

LOL that is a small world. I taught for 5 years back in WA. The sad thing is I make more money doing what I do now than I did teaching children to read and write. I enjoyed it, but I have to watch out for number one... no one else is going to. And I was a damn good teacher!

I think, that in all honesty, I was so-so. I got into it because that was the only real outlet for a musician unless you wanted to be a performer and I didn't have the chops for that. It was never a vocation to me, and I think it should be to be a really good one. I got so bogged down in the bureaucratic bullsh1t, and it just got on my nerves. I actually still keep in touch with one of my students from that time - he and I facebook each other - he's custom painting the guitar that the Hubs gave me for Christmas - it's a Fender Telecaster, which he is painting baby pink and decal-ing as a 'Teddy caster'!

Pink... definitely the blond twin that is a complete opposite. You will know what I mean if you see my post made this evening. I very seldom ever wear pink and really do not consider it a color, but a mutation of perfectly respectable red and white ;)

I had to laugh about your 'equation'. I used to say to people, "I didn't warp any young minds per se, but I wasn't exactly first in line for the Golden Apple award, either!"

Well, there's three teachers - I think Sempra was in teaching as well - I see a pattern emerging, but being the dope I am, I don't know what it is...

Well, I never was a teacher... I couldn't stand children even when I WAS a child. I always hung with the adults whenever I could. They had more interesting conversations.

I'm rather surprised that you would pick the Resurrection Stone in number 27. I'm reading a scary series about zombies right now. (That's right: zombies.) Believe me, you would NOT want to bring anyone back from the dead! Even the living give ME the creeps now....

I supposed I think of the ressurection stone as a conduit to speak to those who have passed to the Other Side. I guess I don't have a really good grasp of what it actually does!

I was an only child, surrounded by aunts and uncles who always included me, so, no, I was never great with kids. I still don't like to hold babies. I'll coo and make all the correct noises so I don't offend the parents, but when they ask me if I want to hold their precious little bundle, I plead everything from CTS to a bad back.

I'm with Mimi. Never a teacher, unless you count me trying to drown kids during swim lessons while their parents weren't looking, and never have liked childer. I am so glad I never was one...

Day 26: If you were able to use one spell without a wand, what would it be?
Apparition. I'm a lazy bitch.
Bahahahaahah!!!! *ahem* Excuse me, I had a momentary loss of composure.
I really thought your bluntness was perfect for this.

I actually taught older kids (Senior High), but I was never really into it.

I had to admit it - I'm the laziest person on earth. I'd apparate from my writing nook to the kitchen if I could. Probably the reason I'm terribly overweight and in crap shape! But if I was magical, I'd eat all I want and make the pounds magically disappear - yes I would!!!! After all, I have to be svelt and pretty to tempt the Potions Master. ;)
