Thank you so much for doing this for me. I realise you hate the fabric, and you could have told me to stick it, but my appreciation is vast, and I will treasure it for the rest of my days.
I went to my 'open 3 days a month' fabric store yesterday. Bought a huge bag of the sexiest buttons for $5, a mountain of tulle for $3 and a yard of embossed, leather-look vinyl for $3. I'm getting there on my costume. Still struggling with the spats, but there you go.
I also found some bolts of cloth at the thrift store for $3 each. One is an olive green which looks and feels like low-nap velvet. Washed and ironed up really nice.
Have you just been sitting there, all quiet, waiting for me to open this post and discover funny!Snupin!webcomic!featuring a dumpy woman with thick glasses and floppy hair? 'Cause here I am. And this is exactly how they are in my head when they're funny. ::goes back to read more::
Had I known you weren't aware of the joys of Severed, I would have pushed you in their direction long ago. One of the main reasons I adore this fandom is Protowilson. Her Severus is one of the most deliciously petulant, sexy brats I've ever encountered.

Date: 2013-03-11 12:55 am (UTC)I am moving along on the cloak of aqua blue.
It reminds me why I hate panne velvet...
I have done the button holes on the inside front seam, which I have interfaced. These holes are your wand holders. You have them right and left.
This fabric is bitchy, so I am going to seam the whole thing then cut the circles.
But I wanted to let you know I am progressing. =)
