Chapter 17 of Lay Me Low Up - FINALLY!!

I thought I would NEVER get this chapter written, but Lay Me Low Chapter 17 is finally posted at Ashwinder. Bless their little cotton socks for posting it the day after I uploaded it, seeing as it took me almost a month to do so. It is amazing what a good beta will do to get your head around a 'constipation' chapter like this one.

I woke up this morning (insert blues riff here), feeling like death on a soda cracker. Everything hurts; like the flu, or if the flu was PMS, or PMS with a Menopause chaser. The whole schmere; headache, stomachache, cramps, muscle spasms. I crawled like a slow worm around the shop today, and collapsed in bed for two hours. Sheesh.

A friend of mine gave us Netflix as a gift - what a revelation! Why didn't anyone tell me such a thing could be had through our Wii? I knew that thing would come in handy one day. I tell you, if Netflix did  pr0n, I'd never leave the house.

I have just eaten the rest of my liver out yearning to attend the upcoming con, if only to see Droxy. I'm not going to be able to make this year's, but I am determined to hit the next one. I want to join in - I feel like the kid who has to stay inside and practice piano while the other kids are out playing - wait a minute - I WAS that kid. Well,  no more! Teddy is a writer now, Teddy is vibrant and sexy and fun-loving and will be an asset to any con. Teddy feels left out. Teddy needs to finish her wine and crawl into bed until the delirium wears off...

I just finished the new chapter for LML! Loved it! Totally worth the wait, although I don't think I will want to wait that long ever again. LOL!

I'm sorry you aren't feeling up to par. I have always found that copious amounts of chocolate help during that time-of-month, or TOM as I like to call it. He is pure evil, that TOM.

Netflix does have kinda-sorta pr0n. It's soft-core and really, really bad acting. Not anything worth watching, so don't waste your time. I'm only telling you, so that if you happen to stumble upon it, you won't waste your time waiting for the good part to come, like I did. When I found it, I called my husband in to watch it with me and he actually walked out of the room while yelling at me to turn it off. That's how horrible it was.

I have never been to a con, but have always wanted to go! Maybe next year...

Yeah, I saw some of Netflix softpr0n and we both went, meh. Actually, there was a Britflik called 9 Songs. The acting was atrocious, but it was fairly semi-hard core. They showed some pretty explicit stuff in it, if you could wade past the very bad bands and the even worse acting by the female lead.

Well, I think I'm going to take my glass of wine and retire for the night to read. I try to write a little every day, but today it just hasn't happened, and DahlraMuse is telling me to not beat myself up over it, just take something light to bed and read. Goodnight, sweetie.

Hugs you. There is a group on LJ called HPcon_envy. Its for folks who dont go to con but still want to have fun.

There is an event in Minneapolis for DH2 release in July. I am going because it's a bridal shower as well for an Lj friend and NOT IN THE SOUTH IN THE SUMMER. This is a "mini con" or fangurl gathering. It's more intimate than con, and more social. (and cheaper)

Would love to come, but I think I won't be able to again. We are very unstable with the business, and it looks like that will be when we close, if not sooner. It's not fun to think about, but we are sort of at a crisis here.

We used to have satellite, and canceled it because of Netflix. We watch TV so seldom, and prefer to do it on our timetable... not the networks. Also, who the hell wants to spend so much for premium cable when -- if you're patient -- you can watch it not only cheap, but a season in a few days.. Cable and satellite are doomed, man....

Exactly so. We have basic cable, only because it and internet cost the same as if we just had internet. We'll get rid of it, though, because we never watch it. Trev is happy as a pig in sunshine, watching all sorts - he loves standup, so he's catching up with all of them...
