The Morning After The Night Before

Well, the Songwriter's Guild concert has come and gone, and it was a roaring success. A bit frustrating, attendance-wise, because we were almost sold out, but the weather turned hideous about an hour before the concert was supposed to start, with tornado warnings, torrential rain and lightning, so quite a few stayed home.

Aside from getting to sing and play, which is such a buzz anyway, we had our CD for sale, which sold amazingly well. As if that wasn't enough, almost everyone down to a man asked us to autograph it. I felt like a rock star!

Chapter 17 of Lay Me Low will be loaded onto Ashwinder today, thanks to my beta stgulik, who has earned her title of beta extraordinaire for this chapter. It simply was a mess when I sent it to her and she has fashioned it into a jewel. I honestly think I was on the verge of giving up this story - I was that frustrated with this chapter. Stgulik to the rescue, and now I'm back on track, my resolve is renewed and I'm ready to soldier on with finishing the fic.

The Writing Nook is COMPLETELY finished. All artwork is all up, including Sempra's Hello Earth, and I'm looking forward to adding to this wall. If anyone has any original artwork sitting around doing nowt, I have a lovely home for it ;)

I'm sorry the weather was horrible for your concert, but I'm glad you were still able to put it on and feel like a rockstar! You are a rockstar in my eyes!
Do you know if you will be posting the songs on youtube or anything? I can't wait to hear them.

And Squeeeeee!!!!!! for LML! I can't wait to read it! I'm sorry it was so hard for you to write this chapter, but I am so glad you gritted your teeth and truckered on with it. I don't know what I would do if you gave up on the story.

Pink, sweetie, it's for friends like you that I won't give up...just got a little discouraged, but stgulik came to the rescue like the star she is and gave me a new lease on life on it. I'm very fortunate to have a beta like her, and faithful, encouraging friends like you.

I'm having a hard time posting the songs onto YouTube, but my Dominant friend, Brian, is coming round tonight, and he knows all about these things, so I'm going to ask him how to do it, so keep fingers crossed!

The writing nook looks both cozy and inspirational! I get a very good vibration just from looking at the picture of it.... It looks like a lot of love went into it, and positive energy is concentrated there because of the artwork from your friends, who love you very much. I know you'll write some good stuff there!

Yay for being a rock star! It's not the size of the audience that matters, but how much energy they put out, and it sounds like it was a wonderful evening!

It was wonderful, Mimi - DM was so close to me all night. He was such a POWERFUL presence. I am going to sit down today and write you about it. It was the most amazing spiritual experience I've ever had with him.

I can't wait to get your e-mail! I LOVE hearing about yours and Sempra's Muses, to compare experiences and such. It's not something that one can discuss with just anybody, as most people have no frame of reference on the subject.

I am very pleased how the evening went, and everyone who was there had a wonderful time. I feel very blessed that I have the outlet to experience all these wonderful things - both here at LJ and with the Songwrtiers.

Well, most are just prints of pics I love. I actually don't have that many originals, but I welcome any and all. These are mostly just pics I've seen over the last year that inspired me. The one you're talking about just stayed with me the first time I saw it. Even the Hubs keeps referring to it. I think it's his favourite.

I didn't post 17 because I was just struggling with it so badly, and I know how busy you've been. My new beta is awesome, though, and just works so hard for me. She knew I'd become so frustrated with it, and she had to really get in there and chip away. She was actually afraid I'd be angry at the amount of rearranging she'd done, but when she finished, I had a chapter I could be proud of.

I'm very blessed to be surrounded by so many friends who support what I do, wherever I do it.
