Well, I almost missed my last day - but I'm coming in under the wire. It's been great reading everyone's posts this month. Thank you so much for participating in SED - the May 2015 edition!

The play last night turned out to be really good. A Time To Kill, based on the Grisham novel - well-acted, very engaging and insightful. We really enjoyed it.

Today Mom took us out for lunch, and we started moving back into the SteamLib. It still doesn't have bookcases, but it's starting to come together. Putting up the industrial (read plumbing materials) curtain rod took a little more time and effort than expected but it looks good. I still don't have the curtains or the rugs I want, but they'll come later. We've had fun, but TheHubs™ really is ready for this to be over. I promise photos very, very soon.

Last night at the play, his Sherlock Holmes friend Evan asked him to be in a play he's directing in September. If all goes well, he will do that play in September, start rehearsals for Christmas Carol in October, and an Agatha Christie play in February. Right now, we are putting together ideas for a Podcast on Evan's Podcast network. We hope to start doing a practice run, including seque music, etc, tomorrow. It's going to be called Teddy and The Bassman. Of course I'll be sending you the links - I've been told we can discuss anything we want, including fandom, BDSM, religion, sex, music, whatever. I'm looking forward to it.

May has been a long month, for some reason. A very full, sometimes stressful month, with new systems to be learned at work. This week, we are going to be traveling to 13 different Walmarts. This new system was supposed to cut down on drive time - it's not exactly working out that way.

I am going to make the effort to post often, possibly not every day, but more often, and try to comment more. I counted it a good thing when I missed posting because there were so many posts to comment on.

Thank you for everyone who took up the call for SED. Believe it or not, it's just lovely seeing you here, even if it was just to write about one little thing that happened in your day. You are all pretty special to me, you know?

It occurred to me this morning that I really haven't told you all how much I appreciate what you did. When I set the SED challenge way back at the end of April, I had no inkling of the impact it would have, or how many people would join into it. Looking back, I feel rather overwhelmed at everyone's committment to posting more often, or every day, or whenever. I think a lot of folks had been feeling like I did, that LiveJournal was something we didn't want to see go the way of so many other places (like Insane Journal and Dreamwidth, to a degree) and dwindle down to the smallest trickle. I know that May left a few folks exhausted with the effort of trying to keep up with real life AND SED, and I apologise for that - I wanted it to be positive in every way, no matter the degree of participation.

Having said that, they say that it takes twenty-one days to turn  something into a habit, so perhaps after thirty-one, perhaps this will be more of a habit with me. I am such of creature of those.

In any case, I'm going to try to post more often, perhaps not every day, but certainly more than I was before May. I am also committing to commenting more, which is so important as well. I was getting particularly lazy about commenting not only on other friends' posts but my own.

Happy Monday to everyone, and Happy June! Hugs to everyone.
