Morning Musings

This morning, I woke up with the following running through my head. Strangely enough, subversa used an icon this morning with a very similar message. I think her Muse and mine must have had their morning coffee together:

There's an old saying: If man were meant to fly, he'd have wings. Actually, I think we do - but we only ever need them in a 'fight or flight' situation. Fight or flight mode uses up a lot a energy. If you want to fly, the real trick is to learn how to conceal your wings until you really need them. Don't use up all your energy flapping them about, worrying about when the next crisis will come.

I don't know if this is a well-known phrase or just something Dahlra gave me, but when I wake up with something fuel-injected into my brain like that, I know I have to share it. See, love, I'm learning.
