*Waves and covers you all with coughing germs*
I've been flat out on my back sick this past week. I mean, in a drug-induced coma of allergy, cough and cold meds. A little better, still coughing like an ad for tuberculosis, but finally on the mend, I think.
The bad thing about being dead to the world for most of the week is that while I was busy trying to claw my way back to the land of the living, I received a very wonderful surprise in the mail from
irishredlass, and it's taken me over a week to get up the strength to show them off. I am so sorry, Irish. My tardiness in no way reflects how gorgeous this afghan really is and how much I love it. She even included two handmade pillows. The colours are just perfect (thanks to a very sneaky reccie by
mimimanderly (I love you, kiddo!), who wrote me asking for my decor colours for a 'special project', and I was soooo none the wiser), and this lovely, soft, warm blanket was the ultimate comfort when I felt my worse. I slept with it, cuddled it when I felt so bad I wanted to cry, and watched my lovely Sevvy snuggled down with it because it matched his eyes perfectly (I'm convinced he knows this). I even wrapped up in it to watch a Harry Potter movie-thon in an effort to make me feel better.
This is her gift for my upcoming anniversary. TheHubs™ and I will be celebrating fourteen years together on May 22. These photos don't come close to doing it justice. It is amazingly thick and soft and I feel the love it in.

Also, as if a handmade afghan and matching pillows made especially made for me isn't like the best, Irish also sent me some KEEEEZ! She and
droxy came upon them, and bless, they thought of me. Then, as if life knew I needed all the help I could get, she sent that lovely pot of Market Spice tea. Thank you so much, Irish. I'm just sorry it took me this long to get up enough energy to take photos and write about this wonderful gift. I feel terrible that it took this long, but if you heard me barking, you'd know it's been a tough week for both me and TheHubs™.
This girl feels blessed.
