Some SSHG Exchange Goodies to Pimp

AS for all SSHG shippers, the sshg_exchange  is the equivalent to the World Cup for me, and I've been eagerly devouring each and every gift. While the entire Exchange is a treat, every now and then a fic or two will stand out for me, and I have to mention them and encourage even my non-SSHG shippers to give them a go.

Two such fics have posted just a few days apart - one of them is christev's gift, Between The Stars, an incredibly touching story of devotion and guilt and loneliness which left me smiling through my tears. One of the most moving fics I've ever read about the need to enshrine our heroes, and why this can be more about our own feelings than the heroes we worship.

The next fic takes a 360 degree turn in the guise of a doughnut dug into the wet ground from four squealing tires.  jadeandjuniper's gift  Drive! could not be more different from Between the Stars, but just as heartily recommended. It's a fast-paced, wild, sexy, white-knuckled ride in Snape's taxi, and it's everything you want in a thrown-caution-to-the-winds quickie -  dirty, frantic, sleazily tawdry, smokin' hot and leaving you in need of a cigarette at the end.

These two fics, in their vastly different ways, just serve as a small reminder why this ship is one of the most intelligent, logical, well-written and enjoyable pairings in Potterverse.
