Rather than indulging in rating and raspberries, I loved LJ because of the connection and the communities. Heaven's sake, I wouldn't have fallen so deeply into the Harry Potter Fanfic world without LJ.
And I can't stand the way Facebook keeps reordering the articles according to how it wants me to read them, instead of how *I* want to read them. At least with LJ, if I read backwards, I'll reach the beginning of the previous patch of reading, and know I haven't missed any.
Besides, how many people did I meet in person last March and April thanks to meeting them on LJ first?
