Day 6
In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Whoa, so... no pressure, then. Bear with me; it's not easy making up something on the spot.
Looking into his eyes, you would think you could see everything he is: poor, common, rough, abused, vilified. But those are just the things he is. Look closer, and see the intelligence, the thirst, the longing to be loved. And still you aren’t at the bottom.
It’s hard to find that depth; it is deep and treacherous, and Hermione almost believes if she searches too much, she will become lost within this devil’s snare of Severus Snape’s eyes.
Still, there is an irresistible pull to venture, because she knows it’s worth the risk. And she is not Gryffindor for nothing.

This fine line shows both his allure and the danger.
And she is not Gryffindor for nothing.
Indeed!

Date: 2015-01-06 07:26 pm (UTC)I'm especially thrilled receiving such a lovely compliment from an author who is a master of descriptions of both his allure and danger, my favourite of which comes from your fic Right Nor Wrong:
"Severus were a man what made people feel things -- strong things, dark things, needy things. The Headmistress weren't the first person to want him. To want to understand him or save him or join in his righteous darkness. To want to share the power of him. To have him want them."
That passage is the most spot on description of his appeal I have ever or will ever read. It makes me shiver with delight every single time I read it.
