teddy_radiatorYikes!! A quarter of the month is already gone! This year has been the speediest year of my life to date - and I have a feeling I'm just starting to roll.
It has been a great day. We had a heckuva thunderstorm last night, a real crash-bang-wallop of a storm, which hung around til very late. It kept me up for the longest time, but I wasn't sorry. September has been a bit of a dry month, and it had been very hot for the last couple of days. Now a cold front is muscling in, and I think that storm was it's calling card. It's almost 15 degrees cooler today than it was yesterday.

stgulik right now. I'm pretty pleased with them, but I always look forward to getting them back from her. I always think of it as sending my car to the mechanic. It looks alright and drives well, but she'll give it a tune up, change the points and plugs, polish the chrome and make it look really boss. I can always tell such a difference when a chapter's had the Jules Touch. And she always puts these really neat notes at the end, telling me what she liked and what she didn't like. Even when it's stuff she didn't like, I look forward to her opinion on the story, because I know it will make it better.
I'm beavering away on my promptfest right now. I'd say it's about half finished, but I still have the hardest part ahead of me. But I'm feeling pretty good about it.
One of my dearest friends and I lost touch a little over a year ago, and we've been slowly reconnecting. Today I really feel we took a big step toward one another. It was so lovely to feel that bond between us closing, like a wound that never quite healed was now stitching back together after a long time. Sometimes when that happens, you don't realise just how much you've missed that person, until you feel the tenuous strands of their friendship touching you again.
I made the decision to deactivate my personal Facebook account today. I had let all my friends know about it, and I actually waited an extra week before shutting it down. I just never go on it, and use my Teddy Radiator account exclusively now. Doing this also reconnected with my old boss in the UK today, which was wonderful. He is adorable, and I have nothing but fond memories of working for him. He and I were a great team. He is moving on from the company, and I wish him all the best in the world. He's one of those people you just want to have every good thing happen to them.
I tried to register on the National Health Care site this morning, but I couldn't get through - of course, they tell you this after you've entered a page of information. I gave up eventually. I'll keep trying.
I am yawning; I think I may take a nap, then make some fish tacos. I have a recipe that sounds really good, so it's either going to be great, or yuck. But it looks pretty good! ;)
I'll leave you with this photo - I posted it on my FB feed today. To me, she is just one of the most beautiful women. And her hair! I WANT like you read about. If I thought for one moment my mousey grey hair would ever look like this, I'd gladly never touch another bottle of L'Oreal again.
