teddy_radiatorWell, I can honestly say this has been a strange couple of weeks all round. There have been some brilliant highs and very low lows, and they all seem to revolve around fandom.
Writing wise, it's been brilliant. Promptfest fic is in. Jules and I thrashed out the outline for our het_bigbang fic, which is going to be so much fun to work on. Two chapters of The Slave at GS100, a new chapter of Lay Me Low (yes, I know, finally after a year), a new chapter of Her Minder to Jules for editing, and a really nice reception for Snow Turns The World Deaf, my little three-way fic. The Muse via Jules gave me a good angle for my Severus/Reg/Hermione time turner fic, and things continue apace.
The news about Sempra leaving LJ hit hard. I am very sad about it, but I understand her need to take a new look on things. I wish her all the love in the world, and hope one day to reconnect. And if not, well, we are all evolving, as individuals and friends. As friendships wax and wane, some get left behind. It's not what I would have wanted for myself, but I can't be selfish. She has to be there for her dad right now.
I finally got around to putting all my Con ephemera together in a little book, and each piece was such an amazing memory. Con was a revelation in so many ways, and not the least was the meeting of so many amazing people, and finally being able to put faces to names and to sit among folks and feel like Dobby - 'it's good to be with friends'. Yes, and it was hard to leave them, but you know? Con travels well; it will stay with you.
Allergies are staying with me as well. Wheezing, the feeling of breathing underwater, scratchy throat, stuffy head. I haven't suffered from allergies in ages, but I'm sufferin' now.
I am sorry; I'm rambling like a rambling thing. I really need to just cut my losses and go to bed; I'm absolutely bushed.

irishredlass. I'm sorry I haven't called, but every night I've just come home and vegetated. I wasn't fit for man ner beast. I'll try to be more compos mentis this week.
