Could This Week Get Any Better?
Aug. 10th, 2017 04:45 pmWell, apparently it can!
One of the joys of my life was getting involved in the LIveJournal community way back in 2010. It's hard to believe that these past seven years have flown by so quickly, and that the course of my life was so fundamentally changed by this one simple act. I found my tribe of friends, I learned to write, I met some of the most amazing, loving, and talented people on the planet, I fulfilled many dreams. All because of LiveJournal and the people that came into my life as a result of it.
One of the many in my beautiful tribe is the ever-awesome
snapebraille4tu, or as the amazing
mywitch calls her, Brailleypants. I got to meet this lovely lady in November, and fell head-over-heels in love (you wouldn't have known it, since I was having a crowd anxiety-induced meltdown at the time). It's really hard not to fall in love with her, you know.
She, in turn, introduced me to My Life As A Background Slytherin, a charmingly hilarious weekly cartoon by a very funny lady named Emily McGovern. Her dramatically flouncy version of Snape inspired me so much I had him tattooed on my wrist.
Today I received the following in the post - my own, original Flounce cartoon, with a note of congratulations on the publishing of my novel. She also wrote what a very lovely lady Brailleypants is, and that is one hecken fine statement.

Thank you, Brailleypants, for this very special momento of such a significant moment in my life. It will go on a very special place of honour on the wall of fame.
