RED - 8 November 2013
Nov. 8th, 2013 10:15 pmWow, today wasn't as blindingly exhausting as yesterday. Yesterday I was so tired I felt really weepy. To help, I put on the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miz. Cried my eyes out. Felt better. I totally believe mimimanderly is right when she says there are enzymes or some negative body thingy in tears that we need to purge every once in awhile to feel better.
Tomorrow, kmhmd and husband are coming over for games night, and TheHubs® and I spent our drive between stores deciding on the menu. See, when we go over to their house, they feed us. I mean, FEED. Not just our bodies, but our very souls are fed by the quality and love that goes into their food. They don't just cook, they nourish.
When they come over to ours, we feed them chunking great horse bales of chow, and they pretend it's good and make very approving noises. Who knows? Some of it might be edible.
Tomorrow night, TH® and I have decided to go retro. We thought about all the foods we grew up with in the 70's, and have come up with the most retro-cliche menu we could think of. The thing is, these are actually fun foods to make. stgulik is Dropboxing me K-Tel's hits of the 70's, so I'm putting on my polyester cocktail pajamas, and fishing out my grandmother's dishes and we're going to have a ball.
I tell you all this because I know right now you are green with both envy and the idea of a set of polyester hostess pajamas, so in order to ease the pain, I'm going to provide you with the menu, so that you, too, wherever you are, can join us in our 70's retro-cliche dinner!
