Finally Got Off My Fat Aise And Did Something

It occurred to me when I was planning my little writing nook that I would have to be surrounded with those things that inspired me - pictures, crystals, stones, cards, etc. I told myself it was to feed the Muse. Well, I just like lookin' at 'em, as well.

With the advent of coming to LJ and meeting so many friends and being sent gifts and being inspired by those who care for me (Bless 'em), I finally got around to finding nice frames for each of them. One frame I found in a thrift store, cleaned it up and painted it, two I found on sale at Hobby Lobby, one I had matted, another I already had  a matt ready. Here are the fruits of the labours of Mimi and Sempra, my two visual Muses:

I won't be able to hang them until the kids leave in March, but just knowing they are ready gives me a thrill. This little writing nook is just an idea that pleases me absurdly. I've never dedicated a space just to writing, and I think the Hubs will like it as well. We will at least be in the same room.

Chapter 9 Is Up

Ashwinder has just posted Chapter 9 of Lay Me Low, and my first review made me laugh. 'Erm, what about the cliff hanger at the end of Chapter 8?' I have a feeling I'm going to pay for that little McGuffin, of putting in a cliffie at the end of Chapter 8 and not resolving it until Chapter 10. I just couldn't help myself!

Big props to talesofsnape and dharkcharlotte for Alpha and Beta duties. I have another beta coming on board as well, so yay, I only had 4 cavities on this chapter! Big difference from the one they finally rejected because there were so many they lost count!
