I have found things to delight me today - A silly little tree ornament at Target, which I studied and promptly told TheHubs™ I could recreate for free - and did:



A terrific grangersnape100 drabble series I read today called A Manner of Rescue by a master of drabbling, iqeret. I adore her drabble series.

Just found out even as I was typing that TheHubs™ won a part in a play he desperately wanted to do. Looks like I'm going to be a theatre widow for a little while yet, but he's really happy and I love watching him work.

Just finished the rough edit of our Christmas Edition of the podcast, and we'll probably post it tomorrow.

I say with complete sincerity that I would have guessed your decoration as the store bought one. It has a nicer basket and looks more purposefully arranged. I love when DIY (and free) projects work out!

Thank you! I am glad I was able to put a few things to use, like TheHubs™' grandmother's old wooden spools and that basket which I've had for years and have never quite known what to do with. It was actually a bit of fun putting it together. It took me longer to photograph it than it did to make it. My photography skills are dismal.

Thank you! I think this is probably a knock-off. It actually had a Christmas-themed lid, which I had TheHubs™ remove. It does have that look, though. I think a Secret Santa gift came in it years ago, and I just hung it as is on the tree. It was nice to repurpose it for something a little more interesting.

Thank you! Every year we add more ornaments to this already groaning tree, but I think this is the first one I've actually made for it. I was absurdly pleased with how it turned out! LOL
