I've just been reading through the dramionelove minifest - what a treat that has been.  It was a very simple remit - each prompt was only five words long, and the maximum word count was 1000. The result was a well-represented fest with some stunning ficlets which were easy to read, well crafted and succint. Brava to the mods who put together this clever fest, and to all the participants, who wrote with humour, pathos, passion, and depth.

I may have to check it out. I'm not a fan of the pairing, but I love when you read that one story and go, "So that's why this pairing works. I get it now." That has happened to me for several couples, so there is hope.

I will say I've never been too keen on it, but I was urged to read a few, and since they were brief and the whole ethos of the fest was simplicity, I said I would. I was surprised at myself how much I enjoyed the stories. Like you, I had a few, "Oh, I get it" moments myself. I hope you will enjoy them. There were some powerful moments in these stories.
