The first one I had, which is the one on my userpic (it's actually mirrored on my skin so it's only positive when I look at it in the mirror) was almost completely painless. This one was not, but she definitely had a heavy hand and really bore down - and the inner forearm is very tender and soft skin, so natch it would hurt more.

I love having them done, and highly recommend them.
