severus_fest Reveals Are Up!!!
And what a great ride it was! I loved this fest, and I hope like crazy it will continue. We need great fests like severus_fest.
I can now admit/confess/reveal that I wrote Every Saint Is An Accident, an NC-17 Severus/Petunia story. It was based on a fantastic prompt, and I really wanted to do it justice. I think I've honestly found my canon Severus, and as much as my beloved SSHG will always be my OTP, writing Severus and Petunia was very liberating. Thank you to all the folks who so kindly commented, as well as the recs the story received. I was thrilled beyond words. And I hope some of my SSHG friends will give the story a chance, even though it makes no mention whatsoever of our dear Hermione. :)
The entire fest was chock full of talent - please go to the Reveal post and have a look through these great fics and art. It really brought it home to me that there is still an awesome amount of creativity in this fandom, and with fests likeseverus_fest, I hope there will be much more to come.
I meant I to include that the title "Every Saint Is An Accident" is of course a song title. I'm so shit at titles and summaries it's not funny. But I thought you might like to hear the stunning song that provided some inspiration for the story:
