Lay Me Low Is Now Complete and Posted

Okay. It is finished. At 39 chapters and 286,886 words, Lay Me Low is now officially completed and posted at TPP. I will never make a penny from this story, and some people will dismiss it because 'it's just fanfiction', but to me it is the most valuable story I have written or ever will write.

I'm happy and sad and about to burst with emotion, because I did it.

I wrote it, and in doing so, I became a writer.

I have it as a full-length PDF, Mobi or Epub file, if anyone wants it for their e-readers. Just message me with your email address and I'll send it. All I ask is that if you read it, you'll give me some feedback on it.

Yes, Ash is usually a couple of days behind TPP. It has posted in its entirety on TPP, and the last chapter in Ash should post in a few days. TPP is complete, though.

No worries, I'll go pull it from PP. Despite the fact that I'm saving it to read on holiday, I want it downloaded and on my ereader now now now so I can carry it around with me like a security blanket.
...that's normal, right?

Sweetie, I'm way ahead of ya. I already have it in its entirety in Kindle, Nook and PDF formats. Just message me with your email address and I'll send you whatever format you want.

That's ok, I have a whole system where I import everything into Calibre using fanficdownloader, put a cover on, apply tags and then sync across iDevices. I spent the whole day changing my library over from ibooks to a new app called Marvin. I've actually been thinking of writing a post about all the ways to make fanfic portable, I think I have it down to a science by now.

You really should! Mine are very clumsy; it would be great to have fanfics that behave like professionally formatted books. When I put Her Minder (the original) on Smashwords it took me all day to format it. I'd love to know an easier way - a tutorial would be most appreciated.
